Web stats made me go huh??

Sometimes, just when I start to wonder if any of my writings are of any help to anyone else but me –I find someone who in their own way says –hey we are out here lurking and kinda find some of your posts interesting.

Most recently I was looking at my web stats and noticed that an environmental post of mine –that was usually far, far down on the popularity list sadly, was suddenly at the top. Hummm –well of course some nice person had found the post and found it useful enough to post on their blog.

The nice man over at The Veg Blog posted a link for my post titled: eat less meat, fish and dairy for the planet. I was so pleased about this. Thank-you Veg Blog and Veg Blog readers!

They have a great resources section and some nice recipes as well. I was just discussing with a friend the other night how freeing eating a Vegan diet can be. I was trying to explain how it encourages one to explore other food choices that may not be as common in our western society. Exploring and using regularly –a variety of different grains, legumes and pulses –seeds, nuts and vegetables, is actually fun. The chemistry alone is exciting –and as Mr. Veg Blog points in a post about his 5 course vegan meal in Cambodia –the variety of vegan dishes can be startling and extremely palatable. Of course the point is that eating vegan can be very yummy, exciting, economical, and hugely kind to our planet. Did I mention that it is also healthy? Well there you go.

I encourage people to just try to incorporate vegan meals into their daily life –there simply isn’t one good reason not too.

Nice to know I get enough traffic to cause a noticable spike in someone else’s! :)

I agree with you about a vegan diet being so much more interesting than the standard omni diet. All the vegans I’ve talked to have had a similar experience to me, where they’re eating and enjoying a much wider variety of food than they ever did as an omni. Good stuff, this vegan thing.
