TCM Vets in Toronto

I am currently using a veterinarian trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, for Winston. She makes house calls which works very well for me since I do not own a car currently. Winston never liked car rides and always became very stressed with any visit to the veterinarian. His first meeting with Michelle Kinoshita DVM, was at my home about 3 weeks ago. It was the calmest most pleasant vet visit ever. Winston likes people but he is also sensitive and quite empathic if I may be so anthropomorphic.

He was smiling and milling around Michelle while we discussed his medical history. Her physical exam was interpreted as cuddling to Winston, while she checked his internal organs, felt his pulse in all his meridians. Michelle’s up close and personal exam allowed her to see his true personality, which also becomes part of a TCM exam. Michelle is also a trained “Western” vet with about 20 years of experience in that field, so she brings all her training and expertise to her TCM visits.

Winston has Diabetes. He has been on insulin for almost 6 years. I have been having difficulty regulating his blood sugar since our pal Martin passed away. His TCM treatment consists of an herbal formula designed for him, using traditional Chinese herbs and philosophy. So far I have noticed a positive change in his condition. Michelle also prescribed 2 homeopathic remedies which are also complementing his treatment.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this approach to healing. I have had fabulous results with nutrition, supplements, western herbs and homeopathy. Now I can honestly say that TCM is just as profound.

    Hi there,

I tried to call your vet to come to our house…but it seems that the phone number is no longer in service?

Do you have a new number or another number to reach her?

    many thanks for your help!
    Wai-Yee

Hi Wai-Yee -sorry that’s the only contact information I have for her. Sorry to hear that she is unavailable at that number. I did see one other home vet -let me look for her number. She is not holistic unfortunately, but was very good for the end of life care I needed in a pinch when Michelle was unavailable.

You could also try the other TCM vet I’ve listed – they may not do house calls, but worth asking checking.
    Val.

    Dear 21st Century Girl,
Do you know if Michelle Kinoshita is still offering house call services even though she’s based in Collingwood?
    Thanks!

    Hello Cheryl,
Unfortunately I don’t know if Michelle Kinoshita is still offering house call services. I have had a lot of inquiries, but I don’t know myself. Sorry. If you do find someone please let me know and I will post their information here.
