I am finally posting a photo of my Super Easy Scarf! It’s made from Super Cheap Acrylic yarn. I actually have a lot of this stuff left and am wondering what to make with the rest.
Knitting with this stuff on small needles is a bit of a pain, it tends to split and fray -which is disheartening for a new knitter like me and for one with not much patients. I know this because I tried to knit a sweater with it, but gave up. I really like the scarf anyway -it’s very durable and I find I wear it a lot. It’s entirely done in a straight Knit -that way it doesn’t curl up on the sides. -Something good to know. There are s to knit a scarf that won’t curl up at the edges besides a plain knit, like a seed stitch for example -but this works well enough for a cheap acrylic yarn and looks just fine to me.
I just cast on about 12 stitches and then just knit each row -then when it was as long as I wanted, cast off and added fringy- fringe-fringe! Small things can make me happy.
-I also wear this a lot -makes me happy, besides -I actually do like it, and it’s warm and cozy too.
