I knit this skinny scarf but never posted a photo of it. I plan to knit more because they knit up sooooo quickly! This was about 18 stitches cast on size 8mm needles and in a straight knit. It worked up in an evening. They are fun to wear indoors or on mild days outside. I knit 2 other wider scarves for christmas -with the same yarn, but different colours.

Do you make these scarves to sell? I am looking for something like this for my 5 and 6 year old granddaughters to match a scarf of Barbie’s. I bought them outfits that match an outfit on a Barbie doll but it didn’t have the skinny scarf that Barbie was wearing. It is a red sparkle skinny scarf with black sparkle edges. Of course for little girls the scarf wouldn’t have to be as long as the ones you made.
Hi Carol -I don’t sell these, but I would be happy to give you an idea on how you could create these -they are very simple! I like your idea of matching the doll outfits -you have some lucky granddaughters :)I would find some fluffy red sparkly yarn and some fluffy black sparkly yarn -with 8mm needles -i would cast on 25 stitches as this scarf is very, very skinny -but you could stick to the 18 i had in the photo. I would crochet the black edge around the finished scarf when you have the length that you want. Hope this helps somewhat. If you don’t knit -maybe this will inspire you -it is very easy and fun :-) you could start with just the simpler red shiny knit scarf. You would only have to do a basic knit -with these fun sparkly, fluffy yarns -you can’t tell the stitch and it looks great. If you have a yarn shop near -people there are very helpful -tell them what you told me and they can set you up with the right needles, yarn and some instructions. Good luck!!
