Thank you Lyndsey and Zoe. Lyndsey -I haven't tried the dimmable bulbs. I have heard that they also use more power so I stay away from them, but I am now used to the warmer bulbs that I have in my home. I do think for the sensitive, they all take getting used to and some bulbs are better than others. Once you find one that you can enjoy the light from, you're set. They really do last a long, long time and I can't any longer tell the difference!

Thank you so much for this post! I just re-did bathroom and had to use fluorescent light fixture. (Originally room had incandescent.) The ghoulish light is making me crazy! Will purchase one of the "warm" bulbs thru one of the links above.

Did you have any luck with the dimmable bulbs? I tried philips ones, and they flickered and randomly turned themselves off and on.

The rest of the CFLs I'm doing ok with - except for one light fixture that just doesn't seem to want to light up with CFLs.

Update -I am now completely used to my mew bulbs and honestly can't notice any major difference anymore. I suppose it was just an adjustment. I am happy that it was possible and that I am now feeling great about how they look and function.

Your are right. I am totally used to them now and -they do last forever. I think it just took a bit of adjustment and a different brand. I love 'em.
